A Dentist's Imperative

Regardless of the class, learning must always be relevant and relatable to be effective. So it was not rocket science when 7B learned about the four sentence types in Mrs. Kaplan's ELA classes while reinforcing one crucial daily activity - brushing their teeth! Through use of declarative, imperative, interrogative and exclamatory sentences, students practiced both detecting the sentence types, restructuring sentences and creating their own - all while being reminded to brush their teeth.
