Sofer, So Good

As most of 8B spent their morning fulfilling a wonderful act of chesed shel emes, there was an alternative 8B trip for the Kohanim. The boys set out with their fellow Kohein, Rabbi Bernstein, to see the inner workings of a sofer and then learned and even participated in the making of tzitzis. They walked away with some wool with the know-how to make their own tzitzis strings.

A quick stop for fresh danishes, to give a Birchas Kohanim, and a visit to Rabbi Bernstein's Rebbi, a student of Rav Moshe Feinstein zt"l and Rav Yosef Dov Soloveitchik zt"l, made this trip quite the memorable one.
