MASSive Learning in Science

By Koby Wolk:

In Mrs. Sheinbein's class, the 8th grade boys conducted some fantastic experiments. First, they measured the mass of a solid object using a triple beam balance. They saw how much mass were in each object. The students then did a second lab. They were given a 10ml graduated cylinder and a dropper bottles of water. They measured an empty dropper bottles of water on the triple beam balance. They then measured it again, but this time there was water in the dropper bottles of water. This helped Mrs. Sheinbein’s class learn how to measure a mass of a liquid. Fun was had by everyone.
