The Real Meat and Potatoes
Rabbi Danny Senter of the Kof-K visited 7B as they continue to learn Hilchos Kashrus as part of this Hands-On Halacha week. They saw up close the various parts of a lamb, how the veins are removed, the phases between farm and food, the nuances of the materials used such as the knives and salt, and the salting and soaking process. It was also a wonderful review of the terms and categories of permitted and forbidden animals and parts.
"You boys clearly learned well because you all seem to know this topic very well," Rabbi Senter shared during the workshop.
