8B Melava Malka

This week's Melava Malka event was a wonderful program for our students in many ways. In addition to the excitement they had, it was another opportunity for us to share another memorable RYNJ experience as an 8th grade unit. From our keynote speaker, Yehuda Weiss, who delivered a meaningful Dvar Torah, to the optional shiur by Rabbi Schnall, the evening was about Torah first. After pizza, the thrilling basketball, volleyball and frisbee games filled both gyms with healthy competition and enthusiasm.

Thank you to all of the Rebbeim for coming out and joining the action with the students. There is nothing better than spending the night with the boys (well, perhaps winning the volleyball game would have been a nice touch). We continue to relish every opportunity to build strong, positive and encouraging relationships in and out of the classroom, and last night was a truly meaningful one. The turnout was at near 100%, which speaks volumes about the group - they enjoy the company of one another.

Continued nachas!
