Everything Hashem Does is for a Reason
An email sent yesterday from an 8B student to his Rebbi (published with permission from both):
Dear Rabbi Barrish,
Today when you were talking about Tefillin, I thought of one thing, תנא משמית דרבי עקיבא לעולם יהא אדם רגיל לומר כל דעביד רחמנא לטב עביד. This quote from מסכת ברכות means that everything Hashem does is for a reason. This morning, I was talking to the security guard by the main door, and I was talking to him about the black straps we all wear early in the morning. I told him how much they cost he was supersized, so, I explained why. I told him that it is all hand made with the mitzvah in mind. I told him about when I went to a Tefillin 'factory' in Israel. Then he understood, he seemed to find it interesting and he really understood how important these things (Tefillin) are. I just wanted to tell you this because you talked about the same thing only 30 minutes later. It really proves to me that every thing Hashem does is for a reason. Due to this, I am now going to use this as my Hebrew yearbook quote.
Thank You,
Akiva Lieber
