A Gadol in Our Midst
By Aryeh Manevitz:
Today we had the rare opportunity to meet Rav Yitzchak Kolodetsky, one of the great gedolim in Israel. He is so involved with Torah and mitzvos that he doesn't eat or drink the whole day. He gave a very beautiful speech in Hebrew and had a translator. After the inspiring speech about being sensitive to others and being committed to davening, everybody lined up to shake his hand and receive a bracha. Since I broke my leg, I waited on the side for him to finish greeting everybody. Right before he was going to be escorted out, he separately shook my hand and gave me a bracha that I should feel better. It made me feel really good. I will probably remember this day for the rest of my life.
