Shofar, So Good!

Recently, the 6th grade classes had a special visit from two special people. My father and grandfather came in to visit my class and teach us about shofaros and how they are made. They told us about the different sounds of the shofar. My father has the honor to blow the shofar in Beth Aaron of Teaneck, and my grandfather blows shofar in the Young Israel of Riverdale. My father and grandfather brought in six different shofaros. One of them was a really long shofar that my grandfather uses only uses on Yom Kippur. We had a great visit from these Baal Tokeas!

Already a hands-on learning and it hasn't even been a week of school!
