Year Up Meet Up

The end of the school year is a priceless time. It is a time to finish academic units, complete the assessment of year-long skills and goals, and, of course, reflect on the ten months of relationship building that will hopefully last a lifetime. The teacher-student connection is invaluable; a facet that takes center stage in the MSB. And this morning’s program highlighted just that.

After our final Kiddush Levana breakfast, we hosted a program to begin the foundation of building the new relationships between Rebbeim and students - Year Up Meet Up. The boys of 5B joined in the fun, meeting the 6B Rebbeim. Likewise, 6B met with the 7B Rebbeim, and 7B joined the 8B Rebbeim. Each group had an opening ice breaker activity (“Snowman in Summer,” no school cancellation though), followed by a game of Balderdash. All of the classes then came together in the gym for a Kumzitz Kompetition. The ruach was phenomenal. Each class with a Rebbi from their upcoming grade sat arm-in-arm singing together with each group leading their own song. After singing several songs together, the entire division joined in one large circle for an inspirational finale.

What a beautiful way to end the year!

What a marvelous way to already lay down the groundwork for the new year ahead!
