Celebrating with Codes and Kugel
By Shmuel Schreiber:
Yom Yerushalayim was great! First, all the classes teamed up with the younger grades. Everyone had a partner, and together we had to answer questions about the gates recaptured during the Six Day War by scanning QR code posted around the classrooms, making the rooms into a mini-Old City. The code brought us to a website where we could find the answers. After that, there was a Kahoot game to review together. My second grade partner and I came in 8th place. Also, in honor of Yom Yerushalayim, there was delicious Yerushalmi kugel that everyone enjoyed. And last of all, we got to do the inflatable rides. There was a wrecking ball game, a basketball shooting game, and an obstacle course. Overall, it was the best Yom Yerushalayim (or day after Yom Yerushalayim) I ever had.
