Thank You, Hashem!
On Thursday, November 2, we had an assembly with Rabbi Lubin about science & its connection to Torah. He started off with a topic about icebergs & Hashem's beautiful world. He explained how icebergs are formed, and showed pictures of different icebergs in the north and south pole. Also, he talked about different minerals and fungi, and how these amazing things that Hashem created help our world, especially fungi. Fungi are like the garbage men (plants) of our world, they clean up everything from our food, to leaves and dead animals. Also, he explained the different minerals that are in plants and how they are limited and must be reused.Everyone enjoyed the assembly, and had some things to say about it - “It shows that Hashem has a plan for everything” (Kovi Lightman, 7B). Other comments were - “It was phenomenal” (Rabbi Kohn, 6B Rebbi), or, ”It was phenomenal and I learned a tremendous amount from it” (Rabbi Yankelewitz, 7B Rebbi). We were also lucky to score an interview with Rabbi Lubin. ”Some people find it hard to connect to Hashem so this makes us realize that He is with us everywhere and it's best for this age to understand this topic,” said Rabbi Lubin excitedly. In conclusion, the assembly was a great way to learn and to connect to Hashem!
